August 31st – Following Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 15 series, Google is hot on its heels.
They have officially announced a new product launch event scheduled for October 4th, where they will unveil the next-generation Android flagship duo, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
Reportedly, the Google Pixel 8 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch 120Hz 2K LTPO display, powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip, equipped with 12GB of RAM, and offering storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
It features a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 64-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto lens on the rear, along with an 11-megapixel front camera. The battery capacity is 4950mAh, with support for 27W wired fast charging.
The Google Pixel 8 features a 6.17-inch 1080×2400 Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens on the back. It is equipped with a 4485mAh battery and supports 24W wired fast charging.
Notably, both the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro come pre-installed with Android 14, making them the first Android 14 flagships in the industry.
On Android 14, Google has introduced two new features: Lock Screen Clock and Shortcuts. Users can customize the lock screen content on Android 14 phones, supporting various clock styles and different application shortcuts.
Furthermore, Android 14 has enhanced the “Find My Device” functionality, making it even more effective in helping users locate their devices.
For example, if you happen to misplace your Google Pixel Buds at the airport, you can easily locate them using “Find My Device” on your Android 14 phone.
