Musk: Not Excited About $25000 Entry-Level Car, Tesla to Cash In on Self-Driving Robo-Taxis

Musk: Tesla to Cash In on Self-Driving Robo-Taxis.

September 11th – In a recent mention in Walter Isaacson’s book, “Elon Musk: The Biography,” new details about the next-generation electric vehicle platform were unveiled.

Elon Musk appears to be less enthused about the prospect of a low-priced entry-level car at $25,000 than one might expect.

His dreams and ambitions extend far beyond this, with a stronger focus on revolutionizing urban transportation through Robotaxi.

Reports suggest that during a review meeting earlier this year, Robotaxi and the $25,000 car model were discussed together. However, Musk doesn’t seem particularly keen on the $25,000 car, stating, “It’s not really an exciting product.”

As for Robotaxi, Musk envisions it as a futuristic self-driving vehicle that might not even have a steering wheel, designed with a sci-fi aesthetic similar to the Cybertruck.

Initially, Musk had decided to build a new factory in northern Mexico to kickstart the design of the next-generation electric cars, using highly automated production methods. However, he soon realized the challenge of attracting top-notch engineers to Mexico.

Therefore, in May of this year, Musk shifted the manufacturing location for the next-generation electric cars and Robotaxi to the Austin Gigafactory. He personally leads this effort alongside top engineers, with the factory boasting highly automated assembly lines.

Musk asserts that Robotaxi will be a revolutionary product with historical significance, poised to reshape everything. He believes that people will remember this moment a century from now, and Tesla will amass substantial wealth as a result.
