Google Pixel 6a is not a rumor and first appeared on Geekbench.

The Google Pixel 6a has appeared on Geekbench, and instead of just the device’s performance test results, the phone appears alongside the Pixel 6’s benchmark results.

These results confirm the device’s 6GB of RAM, which rumors seem to be accurate, and the page also confirms that the Google Tensor SoC will power the device.

The images below provide a comparison of the two phones . As you can see, the Pixel 6a does better than the Pixel 6 in both single-core and multi-core tests.

The difference is so small, though, that if you were to test it again, the Pixel 6 would probably win the 6a in reverse.

On the one hand, the phone is codenamed “bluejay”, and as rumored, the amount of RAM and the model number of the SoC have also been confirmed.

Another tidbit revealed by this list is the operating system we can expect. As expected, the Google Pixel 6a will ship with Android 12.

The device is thought to launch at Google I/O 2022 later this month, so it makes sense.

The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are the first smartphones to ship with Android 13, almost certainly. Both phones are not expected to launch until later this year, September or October to be exact.

The Pixel 6a is rumored to include a 6.2-inch full HD+ display. But we’re not sure if this will be a 60Hz or 90Hz display, rumors also mention a built-in 4800mAh battery, and the camera module may be the same as the Pixel 5a.

Google I/O 2022 kicks off on May 11, where Google’s keynote will be held, and the phone will likely be announced around then.
