In June, Microsoft announced that it would stop supporting Cortana, the voice assistant on the Windows 11 and Windows 10 platforms, by the end of this year. In the latest beta system, users can find Cortana directly in the start menu, right-click and select the uninstall option to operate.
How to uninstall Microsoft Cortana?
Of course, for other versions of the system, Cortana is not impossible to uninstall.
For the current stable version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 system, users can start Terminal as an administrator, then enter the below command:
winget uninstall Cortana
and finally enter Y according to the prompt and press Enter to complete the uninstallation.
Users who are already in the preview system but have not upgraded to Build 25905 can find Cortana in “Installed Applications>Applications” in the settings and uninstall it.
It is worth mentioning that this time Cortana is only abandoned in Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems, and Cortana, which is a productivity assistant in Outlook mobile, Teams mobile, Microsoft Teams display and Microsoft Teams rooms, will not be affected for the time being.
