Mercedes-Benz will have built-in ChatGPT for voice control.
In order to make the most of the charm of artificial intelligence, Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft have reached a consensus and decided to carry ChatGPT on Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the US market .
As Microsoft’s “generative artificial intelligence” software, ChatGPT can conduct extremely human-like conversations.

Although Mercedes vehicles already have a voice command function, the driver can say “Hey, Mercedes”, plus a short command to adjust the temperature in the car, find a navigation destination or make a phone call.
According to Microsoft, however, ChatGPT can make these voice commands smoother, more natural, and potentially unlock more features.
The system can not only respond to simple commands, but also conduct more natural conversations.
It remembers the context of the discussion and initiates a dialogue with the driver or occupants of the vehicle.
With the assistance of ChatGPT, the system can respond to more kinds of requests, even some questions that may not be related to the car or driver.
For example, the driver might ask for a quick recipe, or ask when is the best time to travel to Colorado.
According to Microsoft, the ChatGPT system can also interact with other apps to handle things like booking a restaurant table or buying movie tickets.
Mercedes-Benz owners in the United States can experience the Beta version of the ChatGPT system from June 16 by simply saying “Hey Mercedes, I want to join the beta program” through the MBUX “Infotainment” system.
