Raspberry Pi shortage will be resolved soon: Consumer market will be resumed
The epidemic has severely affected the supply chains of various industries around the world.
Since 2021, there has been a continuous shortage of Raspberry Pi.
As the balance between supply and demand has been broken, the price of Raspberry Pi has also continued to rise.
It is a cost-effective product in everyone’s mind.
A few days ago, in the latest Raspberry Pi Community Events , Raspberry Pi CEO Eben Upton brought some good news to everyone-from July, the supply of Raspberry Pi will reach 1 million units per month.

In the past first quarter of 2023, the Raspberry Pi experienced the worst quarter since 2015, with only about 800,000 Raspberry Pi shipments in one quarter.
For comparison, in May 2023, the Raspberry Pi The monthly sales volume of the dispatch order is about 600,000 units, and only the original monthly quantity is sold in a quarter.
Part of the reason for this sales is that the Raspberry Pi brought forward production to December 2022 in anticipation of more kits being available during the Christmas holidays abroad.
Although it experienced a sluggish first quarter, thanks to the support of long-term partner Sony, Sony has stockpiled enough materials, which means that Raspberry Pi and Sony can produce more finished products.
Eben Upton expects shipments to reach 800,000 units in June, 1 million units in July, and maintain at 1 million units per month as long as necessary to clear the remaining customer backlog , and restore free supply.
Eben Upton said:
It has been a painful two years since experiencing product shortages in 2021, but we are confident that the shortages have passed and 2023 will be our strongest year ever for Raspberry Pi and corresponding modules.
