October 29, 2023 – In an interaction with netizens, Lu Weibing of Xiaomi Group has declared that the Redmi K70 series will firmly seal the door, leaving no opportunities for competitors.
The Redmi K70 series is set to consist of at least two models, the Redmi K70 Standard Edition and the Redmi K70 Pro. The Standard Edition will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 mobile platform, while the Pro version will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is Qualcomm’s latest mobile platform, unveiled this month, featuring an 8-core architecture with a 1+5+2 configuration. The high-performance core, Cortex-X4, offers a 30% performance boost and a 20% increase in energy efficiency.
In terms of graphics performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 integrates a new generation Adreno GPU, delivering a 25% boost in performance and a 25% increase in energy efficiency. It supports high frame rates of up to 240FPS through the Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0 frame generation algorithm.
On the gaming front, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 supports the Lumen lighting system from Unreal Engine 5, achieving visual effects akin to hardware-accelerated ray tracing technology.
Additionally, the Redmi K70 series will feature 2K displays across the entire lineup, boasting IP68 dust and water resistance and supporting fast charging of up to 120W. Lu Weibing and Xiaomi are leaving no room for competitors with the Redmi K70 Pro, sealing the door shut.
