Samsung New microSD card: Continuous recording and playback for up to 16 years.
Samsung launches Endurance PRO microSD card optimized for surveillance and in-vehicle cameras.
On May 03, Samsung announced a new set of microSD cards optimized for surveillance and in-vehicle cameras: the PRO Endurance series.
It is a durable, high-capacity memory card capable of continuous recording and playback for up to 16 years.
This long-life microSD card is ideal for surveillance, dashboards, doorbells, wearable cameras and other devices that work non-stop in harsh conditions.
Using enterprise-grade NAND flash, the company achieved a continuous recording time of up to 140,160 hours (this number decreases with lower capacity) while being resistant to water, magnetism, X-rays, extreme temperatures, long-term wear and tear and fall.
The PRO Endurance microSD card has a speed class of 10, with a read speed of 100MB/s and a write speed of 40MB/s, which is more than enough for seamless processing of full HD and 4K video files.
Samsung offers the PRO Endurance Card in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities, with prices ranging from $10.99 for the 32GB model and $54.99 for the 256GB model.
Interestingly, these memory cards aren’t the only durable storage devices Samsung has released recently.
Just last week Samsung also introduced a new ruggedized variant of the T7 portable solid state drive that can withstand water, dust and drops.
