SMART Modular Releases Next-Generation DuraFlash ME2 Series SSD (Solid State Drives).

At the end of the first quarter of 2022, SMART Modular released a new generation of DuraFlash ME2 series solid-state drives.

In addition to the standard 2.5-inch chassis, the company also offers M.2 2242 / 2280, mSATA, and Slim SATA form factor options.

This series of industrial/commercial-grade solid-state drives not only has strong temperature resistance, but also is equipped with a complete Saf ADATA power-off protection solution, which can safely cope with the hidden danger of data loss caused by power supply fluctuations or unexpected power-off events.

It is worth mentioning that the ME2 SSD uses the latest generation of 3D NAND flash memory with SMART Modular’s proprietary NVMSentry firmware, which meets the endurance requirements of JEDEC JESD219A for high-performance enterprise-class SSDs.

If a full disk write (DWPD) is completed once a day, the official claim can last for five years. In addition, compared to previous 64/96-layer NAND solutions, the latest flash memory devices also offer advantages in terms of cost per bit without sacrificing performance and reliability.

And through further optimization of NVMSentry firmware, ME2 SSD can also enhance the read and write consistency of various application workloads.
