In response to the new trends of software and hardware adaptation and industry competition, several internet companies like Netease and Meituan have recently posted job openings related to Harmony OS, accelerating the shift towards developing native Harmony OS applications.

On November 13, in regard to the substantial recruitment, a source from an internet company mentioned to the media, “As Huawei initiates Harmony OS native applications, parts of current Android app versions are incompatible with Harmony OS, and in the future, Harmony OS will stand independently.”
An insider from Huawei revealed to the media, “In the future, Harmony OS will create a hard fork situation with Android applications.”
It’s understood that fundamental differences in underlying technological architecture and system design principles mean that Android and Harmony OS will not directly align for compatibility.
This signals a new phase in the ecological competition between systems like Harmony OS and Android, resulting in a coexistence of multiple systems and a multifaceted competitive landscape.

This not only indicates these companies are swiftly transitioning into Harmony OS development, rallying talent for native Harmony OS application development, but also highlights that, in the current job market, Harmony OS developers are in high demand and are being aggressively sought after by major corporations.
In September of this year, Huawei announced the impending launch of the all-new HarmonyOS NEXT, propelling the full-scale initiation of native Harmony OS applications.
In a surge, numerous partners and developers are hastening to integrate into the Harmony OS ecosystem and expedite native Harmony OS application development, making Harmony OS developers a coveted talent in the job market.
