Are you still using Ubuntu 21.10? Now is the time to upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, as the 21.10 release will reach end of life next month .
Ubuntu 21.10 (codenamed Impish Indri), released on October 14, 2021, is a short-term release with only 9 months of support, and will officially expire next month, July 14, 2022.
After the end of support for Ubuntu 21.10, there will be no official package updates and security fixes.
To stay safe and get updated packages, users can upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 or reinstall Ubuntu 20.04.
Both are Long Term Support releases with 5 years of support from the date of release.
Among them, Ubuntu 20.04, released in April 2020, will be supported and maintained until April 2025;
while Ubuntu 22.04, released in April this year, will be supported and maintained until April 2027.
