Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Release Planned for April 25th 2024
According to the information on the Launchpad page, Canonical has announced the release schedule for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with the stable version scheduled for release on April 25, 2024.

Launchpad is a website platform that provides maintenance, support, and connectivity for Ubuntu developers and is maintained by Canonical Ltd., the parent company of Ubuntu.
According to the roadmap, it will enter a feature freeze state on February 29 next year. After this point, no major new features will be added without request and approval. Instead, the focus will shift to fixing various bugs and improving system stability.
Canonical plans to release Ubuntu 24.04 Beta on April 4th next year, which will undergo several weeks of intensive testing to identify and address any noteworthy issues.
The full codename for Ubuntu 24.04 is not yet clear but may be officially announced at the 2023 Ubuntu Summit in Riga, Latvia, which is scheduled for early November. However, the confirmed part of the codename is “Noble.”
Ubuntu 24.04 is a long-term support (LTS) version and will receive 5 years of security updates, bug fixes, and curated application updates. Ubuntu Pro will offer an additional 5 years of security assurance, providing 10 years of support.
Ubuntu 24.04 will be the 10th LTS version of Ubuntu since 2006.
