According to data, Tesla China achieved a total delivery count of 771,000 vehicles from January to October this year, exceeding the previous year’s annual total.

While Tesla has experienced declining demand in various global markets, including its home base in the United States, the Chinese market has maintained robust demand.

Data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed that in October, Tesla China’s wholesale sales reached 72,115 vehicles, with a slight month-on-month decrease of 2%. However, this decline can be attributed primarily to the launch of the refreshed version of Model 3.

The refreshed Model 3 was introduced on October 26th, leading to some prospective buyers holding off for the new version. According to the latest weekly sales rankings, from October 23rd to 29th, the refreshed Model 3 recorded a weekly sales figure of 2,276 vehicles. It is anticipated that Tesla’s sales will likely rebound in November.

Furthermore, Tesla’s global deliveries for 2022 have reached 1.31 million vehicles, with the Shanghai Gigafactory accounting for 710,000 vehicles. Remarkably, the Shanghai factory achieved this number in just nine months, matching the previous year’s annual delivery count.

However, Tesla’s global delivery target for 2022 stands at 1.8 million vehicles, with 1.324 million vehicles delivered from January to September. The next two months will determine whether Tesla can meet its target of delivering the remaining 476,000 vehicles. We will have to wait and see.
