Huawei Unveils Its First Wi-Fi 7 Router, BE3 Pro: Blazing Fast 3600Mbps with 2.5G Port for Only 499 Yuan (about US$68).
At the full-scene product launch event on September 25th, Huawei introduced its inaugural Wi-Fi 7 single-router product, named “BE3 Pro,” boasting an impressive top speed of 3600Mbps, with 688Mbps and 2882Mbps in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands, respectively.
What many may not know is that Huawei is a significant contributor to the Wi-Fi 7 standard, having submitted over 560 Wi-Fi 7-related proposals, accounting for 24% of the total.
The Huawei BE3 Pro not only supports standard 160MHz ultra-wide bandwidth and 4K QAM data compression but also features Dual-Frequency Aggregation (Multi-Link), combining the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to boost speeds by 92% while reducing latency by 77%.
For Wi-Fi 6 devices, it offers the intelligent Dual Wi-Fi feature, delivering similar performance to Wi-Fi 7 Dual-Frequency Aggregation when paired with Huawei smartphones or tablets.
Support for Multi-RU allows for the allocation of multiple RUs to a single user, offering finer and more flexible network bandwidth control, enhancing frequency band utilization, and featuring Preamble Puncturing for interference resistance.
With four PA+LNA high-performance signal amplifiers built-in, it expands coverage by 40% and increases mid to long-range transmission speeds by 30%.
The operating system is based on HarmonyOS and supports four major intelligent features:
1. Game Turbo:
Intelligent gaming acceleration technology offering exclusive acceleration channels for over 160 games, including more than 70 PC games, reducing latency and packet loss by over 20%.
2. Parental Control:
Ensuring child safety online, with features like parental control over gaming duration, reports on children’s internet behavior, and parental rewards and sharing.
3. Visualized Intelligent Diagnosis:
Provides visualizations for troubleshooting, signal coverage, and network topology, along with self-diagnostic tools covering 78 common fault scenarios.
4. HomeSec Security Protection:
Guards against violent attacks, unauthorized network access, and privacy invasion.
In terms of design, the BE3 Pro adopts an obsidian color scheme with gold silk printing, and its antennas are redesigned to resemble the spoiler on a sports car, with reconfigured heat dissipation holes.
The standard version comes with three gigabit Ethernet ports, one of which is dedicated to esports gaming, prioritizing maximum bandwidth.
The high-end version also includes a 2.5G Ethernet port.
