According to cnBeta reports, MIG Akinak’s CPU is named Skif (Scythian), using 64bit ARM architecture, 4-core Cortex-A53 CPU + PowerVR Series8XE GE8300 GPU dual-core DSP design, frequency 1.8GHz, power consumption only 24W.

In terms of other configurations, MIG Akinak can choose 8-64GB LPDDR4 memory, 32GB or 64 GB eMMC hard disk. According to cnBeta, the computer can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD or SATA II.

The M.2 reserved by MIG Akinak cannot be connected to SSD, but can only be connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth receivers.

MIG Akinak uses an Alt distribution based on Linux.

According to cnBeta reports, MIG Akinak can choose Astra Linux. Astra Linux is a Linux-based computer operating system developed by Russia to meet the needs of the Army and other armed forces and intelligence agencies.

It has been officially certified by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federal Technical Export Control Service and the Russian Federal Security Service.

The company that developed MIG Akinak said it hopes to produce 100,000 MIG Akinak PCs per year, but they have to face a shortage of chips.

The Skif chip used by MIG Akinak PC was originally developed to be used on tablet computers.

In 2021, 1,000 pieces will be produced by foreign foundries, but cnBeta reports that there are only 10 skif chips left in Russia.
