iPhone 15 Commences Trial Production: Specifications and Prices Essentially Settled
New on August 16th — According to the latest reports from the supply chain, the iPhone 15 series has begun limited trial production, with full-scale manufacturing expected by the end of this month.
Sources within the supply chain indicate that the overall design of the iPhone 15 this year sees only subtle enhancements and refinements compared to its predecessor, focusing primarily on upgrades in terms of specifications.
As per Apple’s current strategy, the iPhone 15 Pro series is set to have at least double the inventory compared to the standard iPhone 15 series.
The rationale behind this is straightforward — maximizing profits within the constraints of incremental sales growth.
So, when can we anticipate the release of the iPhone 15?
Notable insider Mark Gurman had previously disclosed that the iPhone 15 series launch event is slated for September 12th (with sales beginning on September 22nd), maintaining the prerecorded format as seen last year.
During this upcoming product launch, Apple will introduce four new iPhone models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature the following upgrades:
– The A17 chip, the first 3nm processor in a smartphone.
– An “Action button,” a programmable button replacing the mute switch.
– A lighter titanium frame, supplanting stainless steel.
– USB-C charging interface replacing the Lightning port.
– Enhanced battery capacity, improved lifespan, faster charging.
– Periscope-style zoom lens (exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro Max).
– New deep red color variant.
– Higher storage capacity option (1TB).
– Price increase, with starting prices at $1099 (up from $999) and $1199 (up from $1099).
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature the following changes:
– The same A16 chip as the iPhone 14 Pro.
– The same “Dynamic Island” as the iPhone 14 Pro.
– Upgraded 48-megapixel primary rear camera.
– Frosted glass back and slightly curved edge design.
– New color option resembling a shade of blue.
– No price increase, anticipated starting prices remain unchanged at $799 and $899 respectively.
