High-performance mouse will cause Windows 11 stuck.

News on July 18th, for the Win11 system, everyone’s feelings over the past year are hard to describe. Anyway, inexplicable bugs have been exposed from time to time.

In the Tuesday Patch Day in July, Microsoft has fixed another problem—if the player The better the performance indicators of the mouse used, the more stuck Win11 may be.

This problem is related to the Mouse Polling Rate.

Usually, the mouse that everyone is using is 125Hz, 250Hz to 500Hz, but if you use a high-end mouse with an ultra-high Mouse Polling Rate at 1000Hz or even 2000Hz, then in the Win11 system Strange stuttering may be experienced, especially in games.

This bug is related to the Win11 system. It will send the position of the mouse to each application.

Usually, it has no effect when the return rate is 125Hz, but when the mouse returns more than 1000 times, 2000 times or even higher times per second, this is a problem.

It brings a serious burden to the Win11 system, especially on computers with weak single-core performance.

The good news is that Microsoft has addressed this issue in an update to the July Patch Day, last week’s Moment 3 update, patch number KB5028185.

The solution is also very simple, that is to limit the speed at which the mouse returns messages, so that the position does not need to be updated frequently, which releases occupied performance resources, reduces input delay, and finally solves the lagging problem without affecting the performance of the background.

This bug is exclusive to Win11, at least not in Win10 and earlier systems. The last time there was a similar performance problem was in the Win8.1 era.
